From Inspiration to Painting
A clear, thoughtful timeline for commissioning an original artwork from Elizabeth Priller Studio.
Step One: Share Your Inspiration
Begin by purchasing a Commission Reservation Ticket. Once secured, you’ll receive access to the Aligning the Vision intake form, designed to help you articulate what you’re drawn to emotionally, visually, and conceptually.
Reference images, colors, stories, moods, and even what you do not want are all welcome. The more insight you share, the more precisely the final painting can be shaped into a meaningful, lasting piece.
Step Two: The Painting Process
After acceptance into the commission calendar, a concept sketch is created for your review and approval. This ensures we are aligned before the final work begins.
Once approved, the painting process typically takes 3–5 weeks, depending on size, surface, and complexity.
Step Three: The Grand Unveiling
Your completed painting is unveiled digitally.
Before it can leave the studio, the artwork requires 2-3 weeks of drying time prior to any protective finishing. Drying times vary depending on pigment choice, paper absorption, and the number of layered washes applied.
If extended curing is required, you will be notified directly via email.
Step Four: Delivery Day
Once fully dried and professionally finished, your painting is carefully packaged and shipped directly to your home.
As a thank-you, you will also receive a small selection of fine art prints from the studio collection.
Available Sizes, Surfaces and Pricing
All sizes are listed in inches. Pricing reflects approximately four dollars per square inch and accounts for the layered watercolor process and includes insured shipping within the United States, as well as one complimentary revision at the concept stage.
Prices listed apply to 2026 commissions and may increase for future booking seasons.
