Enter the Becoming
Women, Reimagined is a collection of atmospheric portraiture reflecting identity, perception, and emotional transformation. Inspired by historical narratives yet grounded in contemporary experience, these paintings explore how women continue to redefine themselves over time.
About
Women, Reimagined is a contemporary watercolor portrait series that reexamines 19th-century women who were disrupters and whose images survive, but stories were often minimized or erased.
This series explores timeless emotional experiences women still navigate today — perception, endurance, vulnerability, and the reclamation of identity.
Painted as atmospheric figures, these works invite viewers to see beyond historical narrative and recognize reflections of their own inner lives.
Each piece is created as a space for contemplation, strength, and self-recognition.

Abstract Extractions
The companion collection, Abstract Extractions, was created by isolating and reworking fragments from the painted backgrounds of the Women Reimagined portraits. Sections of color and movement are cropped, mirrored, and expanded into new compositions, allowing symbolic details and hidden imagery to surface outside of the original figure. Each piece stands as a continuation of the narrative — a reimagined environment drawn directly from the source painting.
These works are open-edition (unlimited) available as:
