I’ve always been drawn to characters who refuse to make themselves smaller or softer to satisfy someone else’s idea of normal. Tim Burton’s worlds make room for the peculiar, the dark, and the unapologetically different.
Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) doesn’t ask for permission to be herself. I love that about her.
Painting her gave me a chance to bring that unmistakable presence into watercolor, a medium without rules.
