The Story
The Sound Wave series began during a season when everything felt unfamiliar.
After brain injury and chronic illness changed the way I experienced the world, I became fascinated by the invisible things that shape us: memory, emotion, grief, resilience, and the quiet frequencies we carry. I wanted to create portraits that felt less like likenesses and more like what it feels like to be changed.
Each painting is created using sound waves that physically move the water and pigment across the paper, allowing vibration and frequency to become part of the artwork itself. Granulating watercolor pigments create organic textures that cannot be fully controlled, echoing the unpredictable nature of healing and becoming.
These women are portraits that represent all of us. They are reflections of women who have endured difficult seasons and emerged changed—weathered, but not broken.
Each of the four works is available as an original artwork or as a signed, numbered, hand-finished limited edition.
This collection will be available for 7 days only. When the release closes, these editions will never be offered again.
When the series closes, it will not be repeated.
